Per Ben's Request

HELP!
We have NO possible boy names for our unborn child!
We currently have several girl names that we are toying with but we can not seem to come up with any boy names that we agree upon. If you have any suggestions for boys ONLY we would LOVE to hear them! I don't want to bring our poor baby home without a name!
Ideally we would love to have a name that represents our adventurous look on life but is still a classic/older name. We are also wanting to stay away from any initials (JD, TJ...) and names that start with a "T."
Between both of us working in schools we have had to eliminate a LOT of names due to ornery students in the past. :)

So... bring on the names! Let's hear them.
Thanks!
Ben and Amanda

ps. Just to clarify... Amanda still doesn't not know if we are having a boy or girl (and Ben is not convinced yet that he may be surprised as well). We just want to make sure we at least have a name or several picked out for when Baby #3 arrives.

My mom and I put our heads together and came up with some fun names. We thought of Jackson, Owen, Parker, Miles, Preston, Hunter, and Cooper.

Hard for me to share any since we still might need boys names ourselves in the future, good luck though! Hope you are hanging in there!

I'd probably go with Harold "Harry",Lloyd, Enis, Ernest,Ernie, Bernard "Bern", or Cleo. I'd start there. Probably with Enis as my top choice. Hope that helps!

Not that you need them or anything, but here are my choices. :)

Caden, Chase, Walker, William, Wyatt, Ethan, Garrett

I used your guidelines and that is what I came up with. For some reason, there are a lot of 'W's', not sure why, though. Must be a preggie thing. ;) Have fun looking through everyone's suggestions!!!

Love you guys!!

Miles was just in the new parents magazine as a new popular one for the upcoming years. Parents mag. has a bunch of names, check it out online! I also like Amy's other suggestions.

Ben, stop using reverse psychology on us. We all know you are having a girl...

But if you must know, I like Griffin, Zachary, and Hudson.

Hopefully you two can agree on something you both love. Hope your feeling well! I can't believe how soon you will be a mommy of 3!!!

Has anyone considered:
Hugh Arthur Tonagel III
Hmmm?

Thanks for all the "great" suggestions everyone! Sorry to burst your bubble but the name "Hugh" is not going to be carried on by us! That is Greg and Amy's responsibility! Keep the suggestions coming. For some reason Enis just isn't rolling off my tongue. :)

Here are a few that were tossed around/used among the Lortie fam:
Easton, Slater, Grant, Grayson, Hayden,

Not fair! Why does the responsibility automatically get passed down to us? Ben is the first born son, he should be the one to do stuff like that. Come on, little Hughie would fit right in with your boys.

And I like several of the names recommended! Are you going to post ones that you like?

Parker for a boy! and I have to push Charlotte for a girl...(no crazy names!) :)

No, we won't be sharing any names we are considering from here on out. I will say that a few mentioned in the comments were on our "possibilities" list. Also, our girl names are NOT crazy! Just not ones you hear every day. That is the point! :) When you work with hundreds of kids over the years it kind of ruins a lot of names for you. We want something that not every hears all the time and won't be ultra popular eventually. (Just about every other girl born in the early 80's is named Amanda!) ugh! Also we are shooting for a family name or something that holds meaning to us. Keep those suggestions coming people! Thanks so much! a and b

First of all, I thought Enis was a girl's name?
Secondly, it's ironic that Amy posted "Griffin" b/c that's the name that popped into my head first!
You're also welcome to use Lincoln :)

I really hope you know I was joking amanda! I got to thinking, what if she really thinks I like the name Ruesapher! Haha! Love ya

Mal is lying she told me she secretly hopes you will name the baby Ruesapher- eek!! Lots of cute name options... I am not adding any because Amy will steal them and say she liked it first :) (ok only kidding). But can we at least vote on you guys telling us the names you are considering?? I can't wait another month!!!

Ok Megan, I think Greg and I liked the name Taylor before you and Troy even knew each other AND before your beloved Taylor Swift even became popular (since that it why you even like the name)! So boo-yah sista.

No arguing girls! Just for that I may name the baby "Taylor". Actually no thanks. I had 3 "Taylors" in one class, 2 on my cheer squad, and every hight school football team seems to have a "Taylor" on it right now. Have at it girls! There is an unwritten society rule that you can't save names though...
Malorie, you are the only person in the world that would be concerned taht you hurt my feelings by offering Ruespher. Seriously girl!

I left this suggestion on the post with the hair... so I will repeat it here:

how about Edward? You'd have to get over the silly OCD stuff..... and don't know why one of the responses made a joke of the name... lost on me.

or Scott?

or Robert?

oops .... getting too obvious!

I was only kidding- Somebody is touchy though :) And Amy gets the name, because Troy and I aren't having kids for a very long while and by then my husband probably won't be obsessed with Taylor Swift anymore- or at least lets hope not!!

OH also its always good to think about what nicknames rhyme with the name you like. Kids at school can be brutal!

So you're going with Hugh? :)
