Science Central and a night with friends

Last week I recruited my mom to come with me and take the boys to Science Central in Fort Wayne.
It was fun/tiring/exhausting/educating... you get the idea. So glad my mom came. I don't know how I would have kept track of all of them by myself.
The older two wouldn't take a picture with me. Lucky for me Brooks' can't protest yet.
After S.C. we headed to Panera for lunch!!! This is my FAVORITE place to eat. (Last time we ate there was when I was in labor with Brooks! Hah! I was going to take the boys to MD but I thought, "Hey I'm the one doing all the work today. I'm eating what I want to!" We ate our lunch and once I realized I couldn't finish my cookie I knew it was time to go home and get busy having this baby.)
The boys actually really like Panera too. They love soup so that is what they always get. Here is Brooks with his new toy- lid.

Here's our little Boiler fan.
We got together with our "Leesburg" group of friends over the weekend. It was great seeing everyone. It had been forever since we had seen everyone (2 couples were still missing!)
Here are the girls...
And here are the kids...
Hard to believe that just 5 years ago none of these munchkins were around. It was just the guys watching movies and the girls drinking wine and practicing crazy dance moves in the mirror. :) hee hee... There are actually 4 more kids that are in the group but couldn't come Saturday and 2 more on the way!!!
In other news Brooks' got his first tooth this weekend. :( I'm so sad! I just hate seeing my baby grow up. I have just tried to force myself not to get sad at any of these little milestones. I am so sad about the tooth but I am hoping that this may mean we can start sleeping a little better. Brooks went from being the best sleeper ever to being the worst! I was getting up about 5 times a night with him for the last 3 weeks. The last 2 nights it has only been twice a night. Still not great by any means but hopefully he is improving.

Have a great week everyone! I'm so excited to have another photo shoot scheduled for this Sat!!!
peace out, a

Aman"duh" moment and other funnies

Sorry for the delay in posts lately. It's hard work keeping up two blogs, a fairly large chaotic house, feed and clothe three boys and make dinner occasionally!
Here is a brief summary of our last few weeks. I don't normally blog about our daily happenings but here ya go...

-Story time started up again! We love it! It's like a free hour and a half of preschool every week. I could listen to Gisela speak/read with her German accent every day. Brooksie likes the crafts at Storytime and our new Baby K'tan! Have I mentioned that he practically lives in this thing?!?!?  :)
-Farmer Bobeck and Mrs Bobeck came over for lunch a few weekends ago. He surprised the boys with their own "auger" for harvest season. He has two grown boys and he said they played with an auger when they were young so he wanted our little farmers to have one also. Aren't they cute playing farm with him! (Not so cute was the 2,000 soybeans that ended up ALL over the entire house! We had harvest season early and spent about an hour one night before bed finding soybeans in the carpet.) :)
-Spring is here!!! Yea!!! We are all enjoying hanging out in the yard. We practically live outside in the summer. I can't wait for planting season (for our flowers and garden and all the fields around us! You know we love our tractors!)

-We had our first sleepover last weekend. The boys' best friend Luke stayed the night. It was so much fun! Luke was a perfect angel! Our boys....um not so much! ugh... At one point Luke said, "Charlie your mom and dad said we are supposed to go to sleep so I think you better go to sleep."

-I have been feeling the affects of lack of sleep lately. I have been doing some pretty wacky/dumb things lately. The boys have also been saying some pretty funny things.
~ I started to accidently take someone else's boy from church. I have three I just got confused and grabbed another! In my defense they all looked pretty much the same!
~ Charlie has been referring to adults as "humans". He told me he was using an "human" spoon this morning.
~ The other day they came in from playing outside. Charlie was rubbing his head and saying, "owww..."
I said, "What happened?"
Sawyer said, "I hit him in the head with a rock. I had to! We were playing David and Goliath!"
oh my...

Here are the big boys being BOYS!
Well I guess that basically catches you up on our lives right now. Ben has been working a lot lately. He has had many night events. It is spring so that means award nights and dances. Apparently he broke out the "Superman" dance at the semi-formal last weekend!  j.k.
Prom is coming up in a few weeks. I need to start practicing my moves so I can keep up with all the young girls. Heaven forbid I embarass my husband!!! :)
peace out,

I know I promised...

I know I promised not to overload our "Family" blog with bare bellies and newborns anymore but I can't resist sharing this picture.
This is the newest addition to the Bricker family- Aubrey Joy.
I LOVE HER! Can you blame me?!?!? :)
I will post more pics of her on my photo blog next week.
I am way behind in our family posts. For some reason I can't seem to keep up with three little boys, a house, pictures and other daily activities. hmmm... maybe I am taking on too much? Nah...

Pot of Gold Cupcakes

I made these cupcakes for Charlie to take to preschool for his birthday. I can't take credit for the idea. I got it from my favorite magazine, "Family Fun."
They turned out pretty cute. Not the best photographs but they did look pretty good in real life.
See the pot of gold, rainbow and cloud on top?
If you need an idea for St. Patrick's Day these would be super cute!

This Week on "The Dukes"

If you are under the age of 25 you will probably have no clue what our theme was for this party. For the rest of you here is a little clue, "Just a good ol' boy. Never meanin' no harm. Beats all you ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the day he was born."
We convinced Charlie that it would be cool to have a "Dukes Of Hazzard" 4th b-day party. We don't bother with Sesame Street and such at our house. We just watch reruns of "the Dukes"

Here are some of the decorations I made for the party. I didn't go TOO overboard this year. :)

Here's Sawyer posing as "Boss Hogg", me as a pathetic version of "Daisy" (side note do you know how hard it is to try and look like Daisy without trying to look like Daisy Duke? Follow me?), Ben as "Roscoe P. Coltrain", my Dad as "Uncle Jesse" and our boys as the "Luke Duke, Bo Duke and Baby Duke"

Charlie was being a stinker and wouldn't let me take any pictures of him at his party. These were the best I could get of the birthday boy.

Present time!
Best friends lovin' on one another. My favorite part of the night was when we overheard Luke in the other room saying, "I love you Charlie." Look at Josi taking care of Brooks'. She is so sweet! I love her to pieces!
Happy 4th Birthday to our "Good Ol' Boy"

Baby Blue Eyes

How how I love those big blue eyes!
