"I wanna go to the waterpark!"

This post is really delayed but I just got the pics on my computer. Over Spring Break Ben's folks treated us (and Greg, Amy, Jace and Will) to a fun time at an indoor waterpark. The boys LOVED it! Sawyer still will say randomly, "I wanna go to the waterpark!"
Here's Brooks and Charlie sporting their Hawaiian shirts from Grandma and Grandpa Sensow. Mr. Fashionista (Charlie) thought they would look good in them at the park.

Here are a few of my favorite pics. For once I was really happy that I was the one behind the camera! :)Side note... totally embarrassed to admit this but I will... I had to wear my maternity bathing suit to the park because well no one wants to see that much of Amanda in my old one yet. I walk in and there is an adorable PREGNANT girl wearing the same suit! Nice! Wait it gets better! The next day when we are leaving I change out of my suit and realize that there is a HUGE worn spot right in the middle of the butt of my suit!!!! Seriously, no one was going to tell me this?!?!?!? I used to like my family. Not so much anymore!
Papa Hughie and Jace got dumped on!
Here's Ben and Charlie waiting to go down the "BIG" slide. And then here is them after. He loved it!

Nana enjoying cuddling all the babies (Brooks and Will).

Principal Tonagel giving strict instructions. Probably something about "be sure to make your marks heavy and dark. If you want to change an answer..." sorry a little ISTEP humor. It's that time of year.
Come on' someone has to think that is funny!
 OK maybe just me. anyway...

Not sure who looks worse in the morning, me or Sawyer???

Guess that are all the pictures that I am willing to show the world. Enjoy your weekend! Ben and I are off to prom tomorrow! Woo Hoot!!!!!! (legally might I add. Not in a weird predator way) I am hoping to fully embarrass him. I will have pictures to document our night to show next week.
ta ta for now...

Tastes so good!

My baby boy started eating food last week. :( sniff sniff... I cried when both of the other boys started eating baby food. I know in my head it is ridiculous but I just hated this milestone. For so long- 15 months (conception-6 months) they were totally dependent on me. (Brooks and Charlie both refused bottles also.)  Now... not so much.
I am proud to say that I didn't cry this time around. I am trying so hard not to be sad about these little things and to enjoy them instead of being sappy. It probably helped though that his first food was a hamburger bun from Culvers, Mashed Potatoes from Wana-Cup and some yummy guacamole with the family. Three of my favorite things to eat!
I was hoping to hold off starting food for awhile but since he kept begging and trying to grab my drinks/food I figured it was time.
He is teething again... ugh! So the other day I had the bright idea (if I do say so myself) to give him a cold apple slice to eat/gnaw on. He loved it! This kept him happy through lunch

Off to mix up some guacamole for taco salad! Yum!

He tries so hard...

I know I have been really delinquent lately with my posts. Sorry! We had our computer updated last week so I couldn't add any pictures. I am back though now!

Real quickly here is a funny story...
This weekend Ben and I split up the boys. I took #1 and #3 with me to LP to see a friend and take some pictures for "from bellies to babies"  #2 stayed at home with him. It was so nice to have some one on one time with them. It doesn't happen very often.
While gone Ben tackled some house projects. I love my husband dearly and am so grateful for him but sometimes he drives me batty!!! I wish he could just settle down and relax at times but once he gets his mind set on something, there is no stopping him!

I called him late in the day on Saturday to see how they were doing. He said he said he had been painting the trim in the house. He can not sit still for anything!! I had only been gone for a few hours and instead of just relaxing on his day off he was painting trim with a two year old in the house.
On Sunday when I called he said, "Um... we have a problem."
"What's that?"
"I started touching up the paint in the upstairs bathroom."
I said, "We don't have any paint left for the upstairs bathroom."
"That's the problem."
I nervously asked, "What do you mean?"
"Well... I started touching up the room and realized that I used the wrong paint. So the color doesn't match exactly but I will run to the store and get one that is close."
I quickly said, "No! Don't just get one that is close. You have to get the same color! I kept the paint swatch somewhere. Look in the house folder for it. I remember it was called 'Sangria' or some kind of alcoholic drink like that.  (weird that I can remember that I know)
He promised he would and I thought that was the end of it. Oh no... I call on my way home Sunday night and he reports that he and #2 went to Lowes and bought "Sangria" paint and are headed home to touch up the walls AGAIN. I said, "Oh great! You found the paint swatch?"
"No, you just said it was 'Sangria'".
"No, I said it was something LIKE 'Sangria'!!!
Ben retorted, "I'm sure it will be fine!"
After retouching the walls TWICE, this is what I came home too... (picture all the walls looking like this!)

Ben suggested we just move the pictures around to cover up the spots. I'm thinking that isn't going to work!

Now most people probably touch up the walls with smaller amounts of paint. Nope not my hubby!
Most people might do a few spots and realize "hmmm... this doesn't look quite right." Nope not my hubby!

That night Ben found the paint swatch in the folder where I told him it would be. Guess what? The color is "Grenadine". :) I knew it was some sort of alcoholic drink! :)

Wonder what Ben will be up to this weekend? Oh yea, touching up the paint in the bathroom again! Let's hope the third time is a charm.

ps. I really do love my husband! :)

Spring Break

This week is Ben's Spring Break and we couldn't be happier to have him home for awhile. It is so nice to have another set of hands/eyes to help and just to have another adult to talk to!
We celebrated Easter in LP with our families. My mom got the boys these funny bunny glasses. They that they were hilarious.
Here are all the Tonagel grandsons.
Some Easter pictures of our boys...
I LOVE this little outfit on Brooks. It was Charlie's. His little legs looked so chunky in the high white socks.
Charlie was not happy about being forced to stand still for me.
The jacket that Sawyer has on was my brother's from 1960 something. He looked pretty dashing in it! Ben was a little mortified that I had him wear it to church. I thought he was adorable in it. Plus he loved telling everybody that he was wearing his Uncle Kippy's coat.
We got back from Indy last night. We took a little mini vacation to Indy for a night. I am more than a little perturbed that my camera (point and shoot) quit working while there. Apparently the memory card died! Ugh!!! I just got it in October and had only used it a few times and of course there were a lot of cute pictures on there.
While there we spent time with our good friends- Jeff and Kristen Ballard and their adorable kids- Luke, Benjamin and Abigail. We went to the Children's Museum on Wednesday. It was a lot of fun but SUPER packed! I would not suggest going there during spring break! The boys loved all the exhibits. Well all except for one... I wanted to go in the Barbie exhibit but Ben wouldn't let me take any of them in there! :(
When we were getting ready to leave we stopped at the bathroom and Sawyer started yelling, "I"M NOT TIRED!!!!" Within 2 minutes of coming out of the bathroom he fell asleep in the stroller. So funny!
We are looking forward to the rest of the week with more fun activities together as a family.

"Good thing you are so cute!"

This is what I say to Brooks every morning when he wakes up. To say that Brooks' isn't the best sleeper would be an understatement. He has now gotten up the last 2 nights 3-4 times a night. ugh... I love him so much but I would really like to sleep a little more. He also isn't really fond of napping during the day. Well I take that back. He likes to sleep if I am holding him! I consider it a victory if he sleeps more than 45 minutes at a time during the day.
I have been a little frustrated with myself lately because I realized that I love taking pictures of other people's babies and their own pregnant bellies but I rarely take "portraits" of my own kids and I don't have any portraits of my own bulging belly when I was expecting our three boys.
I tried convincing Ben that this was a good reason to have another one but he just said I was crazy. Go figure!
This pic is for my mom. She got each of our boys their "bear". Brooks has started paying attention to his a little more now so I thought she might like this picture.
